Patrick Harris Jr, the president of Collectiveffort, entrepreneurial journey began after his graduation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2011. The team's venture into Collectiveffort was a natural progression from their collegial relationships, diverse professional backgrounds, and a shared vision for cultivating a creative community. Harris brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as COO of another agency and leading communication, design & program management in former non-profit roles, contributing significantly to Collectiveffort's strategic direction and growth. The agency focuses on building creative ecosystems while specializing in storytelling, fostering success by leaning into community engagement and collaboration. You can also find Patrick producing music & hosting intimate listening experiences under his artist name, BAX.

JAMEL MOSELY | VP, SALES & MARKETING

Jamel Mosely is an entrepreneur, DJ, brand specialist, and award-winning visual storyteller in the mediums of film and photography. He is a co-founder and VP of marketing and sales of Collectiveffort, a creative agency and coworking space for creatives in Troy, NY, a co-owner of Upstate’s Cold Brew, a small-batch cold brew coffee company, a co-founder of Root3d, a BIPOC-centered wellness and healing center in Albany, NY, and the owner of Mel eMedia, a full-service multimedia outfit. Jamel is a documentarian and filmmaker that has worked on teams across the USA, Central America, Africa, Europe and for projects ranging from regional brands, mom-and-pops, to internationl brands like Puma, Under Armour, HBOMax, Showtime & Revolt. He is dedicated to building creative ecosystems that will create jobs and provide equity to underserved and marginalized communities.

DAN LYLES, Ph.D | VP, OPS & RESEARCH 

Dan Lyles - VP of Operations and Research, Dan Lyles is the VP of Operations and Research, distinguished by his extensive educational background with a Ph.D and MA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge and a B.A in Sociology from St. Edward's University. His core skills lie in Organizational Leadership and Development, Strategy, Divergent Problem Solving, and Legal and HR planning, making him an invaluable asset to the team.

 

In his role, Dan oversees critical operational and research aspects, ensuring that strategic objectives are seamlessly integrated into the organization's fabric. His expertise in divergent problem solving and strategic planning enables him to navigate complex challenges and drive forward-thinking solutions. Dan's leadership extends beyond organizational development; he actively engages in community leadership, exemplifying his commitment to societal progress.

 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dan nurtures a passion for music and community engagement. As a guitar player and a community leader, he brings a unique perspective that blends creative thinking with a strong sense of social responsibility. His ability to help people form organizations reflects his profound understanding of social dynamics and his commitment to positive change.

DeSean Moore, hailing from Albany, NY, is a active presence within the local community, known for his unwavering dedication to collective progress and empowerment for the creative community.  DeSean spent years as a media specialist for Moore Than Vision LLC. with a focus on minority owned businesses, and youth development. 

 

Driven by a passion for social justice and community/youth advocacy, DeSean has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at fostering positive change. Whether it's organizing grassroots media campaigns for local elected officials, leading community workshops, or collaborating with local organizations, he tirelessly works towards creating a more equitable and inclusive region. 

 

As a Partner and Co-Founder DeSean channels his energy into amplifying marginalized voices and addressing systemic inequalities. When it comes to our clients he takes the same approach. How do we meet our consumers where they are. Through his leadership and collaborative spirit, he strives to build bridges across communities, promoting solidarity and mutual support. Through music, visual arts, and spoken word, he sheds light on pressing issues while offering messages of hope, resilience and more equitable future for the creative economy.

As the CEO of her own brand, she seamlessly blends her creative vision with business acumen, setting the stage for innovation and artistic expression. Collaborating with Collectiveffort, she orchestrates electrifying music-based events that leave an indelible mark on the cultural landscape. With a passion for pushing boundaries and a knack for fostering collaboration, she continues to inspire and elevate those around her, making waves in both the entrepreneurial and artistic spaces.

SHAYLA KERR MUNSIE | CONTENT PRODUCER

Shayla Kerr-Munsie (Shay) loves being able to share and tell new stories in fun, unconventional and exciting ways through social media. Initiating conversations and being able to have a positive impact on the communities she services with tangible results is what matters to her most. She currently creates original series brand content on social platforms for Collectiveffort, a creative agency in Troy, NY to create brand awareness, engage followers, and help build a platform. With years of experience in creating orginal content and managing social platforms for Forbes-featured non-profits and other small businesses utilizing brand strategy and excellent storytelling as a published author, she is able to connect content that connects to an audience, enabling them to expand their reach to new clients and growth-filled opportunities.

Storytelling fuels her interest in solo travel around the world. She loves learning, playing, and connecting in her free time.

MICAH KHAN| CONTENT PRODUCER

Micah Khan is a Pakistani-American filmmaker who has directed and produced over 30 short films. He recently finished his feature debut, The Zombie Wedding, the first film to launch the Weekly World News IP-driven studio slate. The 21-person ensemble cast includes Cheri Oteri, Seth Gilliam, Heather Matarazzo, Kevin Chamberlin, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Vincent Pastore, Ajay Naidu, Micky Dolenz of the Monkees, and many more! His latest short film, Meetcute On Danceworld, was featured on MovieMaker Magazine, tweeted by Ben Stiller to his 5.4 million followers, and David Benioff of HBO’s Game of Thrones said of it “Never seen anything quite like it before. I was smiling the whole way through. It’s fresh, original and it kicks ass.” Before that, his action short film, Safe House, was the winner of Robert Rodriguez's People's Network Showcase Contest and premiered on El Rey Network. Micah was mentored by Scott Reynolds(Dexter) in the esteemed writers’ program, Mentorship Matters.

 

 

Micah was recently featured on Deadline Hollywood for Coverfly’s Best Unproduced Projects of 2023 list.

VICTORIA DIANA | CONTENT PRODUCER

Victoria Diana is a writer, director and comedian from Schenectady, NY. She is winner of the 2020 CNY Short Film Competition, and was a 2020 Second Rounder at Austin Film Festival, with her comedy pilot 'The Adventures of Burning Man and Frigid Bitch.' When she's not writing, directing or performing stand-up, she spends most her time and money on food and iced coffee, much to the horror of her father, who does her taxes. She is also recognized for her work as a writer and filmmaker, notably on projects such as "Devour" (2021), "The Cabinet" (2018), and "Safe House" (2018), demonstrating her active involvement in the filmmaking scene. Moreover, she received a significant grant to produce her short film "Devour" in Syracuse, NY, highlighting her ability to secure support and recognition within the film industry. Her work at Collectivefort can be felt through her dedication to telling impactful stories for our clients.
